One last outing with the borrowed D500 before I’m physically am unable to let go of this! Although it has dried up a lot, I was still able to find enough critters to keep me busy for a few hours. The highlight was definitely a small (but insanely fast) little mantis. Also, I’ve learned that my brain autocompletes shrimp every time I think “mantis”. Even as I type this…

Oh! Another cool discovery today… bees have 5 eyes! Stuff like this is why I love macro photography!
